Imation™ Trimatic™ Modular Advanced Processing System Product Data

A more productive approach to film processing
Image of Trimatic

The 3M™ Trimatic Modular Advanced Processing System from Imation provides health care facilities of all sizes with a flexible, affordable solution for daylight handling and processing of X-ray films.

The system automatically loads and unloads X-ray cassettes and processes a variety of film sizes in full daylight. With an integrated, high-capacity film processor, this innovative system can increase the speed and productivity of your department -- dramatically.

Modular design provides a perfect fit for your needs

All system configurations include a base module -- which houses the electronics, the integrated film processor and a cassette loading/unloading module. Up to seven film modules (100 sheets of film each) can be added to meet specific volume and film size requirements.

For example, smaller clinics that only produce mammography films or orthopedic clinics that print just a few film sizes may only need a system with two modules.

Larger facilities may need all seven modules to accommodate a wide range of film sizes -- or they may need fewer modules to accommodate high-volume use of just two or three film sizes. Exceptionally busy facilities can configure two systems side-by-side for non-stop, high-volume productivity.

The ultimate in space utilization

An intelligent design lets you locate the system virtually anywhere it's needed.

All interaction -- including loading, unloading and control panel access -- takes place at the front of the unit. A motorized processor extraction system makes routine maintenance fast and easy. Plus, the compact footprint requires little floor space.

These design features let you install the system in locations where space is at a premium.

Direct connection to your darkroom

A "through-the-wall" kit makes it easy to integrate the Imation Trimatic Modular Advanced Processing System with your darkroom operations. A single-sheet film bypass -- located on the back of the unit -- accepts film from your darkroom for fast, efficient processing. A built-in scanner measures the film and tells the system to replenish a calculated amount of chemicals. A safety device controls the bypass operations, providing maximum flexibility and ensuring safe film operations.

Automated features eliminate many manual tasks

A programmable start-up feature automatically activates the system in the morning, so your staff doesn't have to wait for it to warm up. This feature also can be used to automate the shut-down process at night.

The system also uses bar codes that automatically select the correct processing speed and the right film type and size for each job. For example, it may select extended cycles for mammography films, then return to normal, high-productivity processing for general films.

Reliable film handling and processing system ensures maximum uptime

A well-designed film pickup system and a single transport roller configuration help ensure minimal maintenance and continuous productivity.

The processor offers features that improve film processing quality, including an anti-crystallization cycle, an anti-oxidation cycle and an anti-algae wash water cycle.

Clear, concise operator prompts simplify operation

A logically designed control panel offers easy-to-understand operator prompts and clearly marked keys. This simplicity speeds operation and allows your staff to focus on more important tasks.
